We anticipate, we plan, we achieve - KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. was nominated for the Bulls and Bears award of the Stock Exchange and Investors newspaper "Parkiet" in the category Company of the Year from the WIG20 index. Also in March, KGHM's Investor Relations department won the prestigious "Parkiet" ranking assessing the quality of communication with investors.

Justification for the nomination emphasized the fact that the share price of KGHM, the President of which is Marcin Chludziński, rose by more than 90 percent

"The listings were supported by the northward surging copper and silver prices, but the chapter appreciated the group's operating performance. The pandemic did not disrupt mining - and that was the problem coal mines faced. Lockdown did not adversely affect sales, which were stable. The improvement at Chile's Sierra Gorda mine is also noteworthy: in 2020, copper production increased by 37%. KGHM is also involved in renewable energy, building, among others, photovoltaic farms," can be read in "Parkiet" report. The Bulls and Bears awards gala will take place on 24 March.

Marcin Chludziński, President of KGHM, emphasises that the global economy is still struggling with uncertainty and the crisis related to the coronavirus pandemic, but the copper Company has managed to maintain planned production while maintaining the maximum level of safety and cost discipline.

"Copper is a strategic raw material in a carbon-neutral, closed-loop economy and demand is also driving the global Green Deal trend, technological innovation and RES-related developments. We have included all these aspects in the Company's strategy, which in these uncertain times is proving to be successful", added the President of KGHM.

Investor interest in the shares of KGHM is growing and dialogue with stakeholders is building a good reputation for KGHM. This is reflected in the award for the company's Investor Relations department.

"Investing in relations with the market is not only a matter of image, but also of tangible benefits. A transparent company can count on better conditions from financial institutions and counterparties. In the long term, there is also a correlation between IR quality and share price," the ranking organisers wrote.

Among other things, KGHM's Investor Relations team continued to publish the Investor Newsletter in 2020. In addition, the IR section of the KGHM website was updated and new promotional materials for investors and the media prepared.
