The issuance of a packet of ordinary bearer bonds with interest of WIBOR 6M+ Margin in the amount of 125 b.p. with a maturity of 26 June 2031 will occur on 26 June of this year. The bonds will be registered by 31 August 2024 in the bonds depository of Poland’s Central Securities Depository, and will be introduced to trading in the Catalyst Alternative Trading System.
„The enormous interest in KGHM’s bonds along with their advantageous valuation enabled the achievement of a satisfactory margin of 125 bps. Such a volume, which exceeded our initial expectations, represents another element for us in the building of an optimal financing structure, taking into consideration the tenor and type of instrument. The margin gained in the 7-year tenor and the favourable parameters enabled the achievement of the best parameters by the Polish company following the pandemic and the start of war in Ukraine. This is undeniably a very strong signal for the entire market. Not only about the very good condition of the company itself, but also the condition of the entire local debt market. KGHM is in the process of reviewing its Strategy. We are analysing our capital needs and building a stable, long-term financing structure at an attractive cost. The refinancing of the maturing bonds is in conformance with the strategy of diversification, both of the external sources of financing and of the portfolio of debt instruments, as well as basing the financing structure on long-term instruments.
The Management Board of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. thanks the Agent banks – PeKaO S.A., PKO BP S.A. and Santander Bank Polska S.A. – for their efficient conduct of this transaction, along with all of our bondholders for acquiring these instruments in the new series” – said Piotr Krzyżewski, Vice President of the Management Board (Finance) of KGHM.”
