What does a wafer have in common with garlic, or how to make holubci or noodles with poppy seeds - KGHM employees share Christmas traditions and recipes for unique dishes. Another book prepared by KGHM staff is now available, and this time we invite you to “Christmas Eve with KGHM.” The publication can be downloaded online.

The album was created by the staff of Polska Miedź - it is a collection of recipes and tips on how to prepare Christmas decorations, prepared and recommended by KGHM employees. The company’s staff shares recipes for homemade Christmas dishes that are on their Christmas Eve tables every year. The recipes collected in the book were submitted to a contest organized by KGHM. The main prize will be a cooking workshop with a famous chef Karol Okrasa.

“The book is a collection of unique tastes and smells, but also a record of unusual, often very personal stories highlighting the unique nature of the upcoming holidays. Each page of the book is filled with the fragrant ingredients of the dishes, but also the accompanying memories and emotions of KGHM employees. The recipes and tips reflect the diversity of the dishes on the tables of KGHM employees, but also the activity and involvement in building the local community during this holiday season,” said Sylwia Jurgiel, the spokesperson of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A.

Miners, metallurgists, processors, and representatives of other trades at KGHM shared their Christmas traditions. The album includes a recipe for the world’s best Christmas Eve borscht, noodles with poppy seeds, herring in tomatoes and with plums, and pierogis with cabbage and Grandma Gienia’s cold soup. Adam Pisarski of the Rudna Mining Facility revealed the secret tradition of his family, which came from the Bieszczady Mountains to Lower Silesia. After his loved ones share the wafer, they reach for garlic served with bread and salt. This is just one of the surprises that await the readers of “Christmas Eve with KGHM.”

KGHM employees also have amazing talents related to sweet baked goods. The album features recipes for more than a dozen varieties of gingerbread and gingerbread cookies. Representatives of KGHM employees also advise how to prepare an advent calendar, how to beautifully wrap gifts, and how to prepare a sock gnome.

Below is the link where you can download the recipe book - download it today and prepare your Christmas table with the KGHM Family.

“Christmas Eve with KGHM” is the third book prepared by the staff of Polska Miedź. This year, our employees have already advised on how to get ready for Easter and how to safely hike in the mountains (“Into the mountains with KGHM. Safely on the Trail with the Polish Copper Family.” Both albums can also be viewed and downloaded online:
