At a gala in Warsaw, the organizers summed up this year’s edition of the international campaign and honored the most active companies. This year, companies from 59 countries conducted various activities.
The KGHM organized, among other things, a festival for families from the Copper Belt, competitions, and exhibitions. The participants also received a special booklet, including a comic book with tasks for families to complete. A total of about 25,000 KGHM Group employees and their family members took part in the activities.
At the time of inauguration of the activities in May, Marcin Chludziński, the President of the Management Board of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., said that “as an employer, we do a lot to positively inspire and strengthen the family ties of our employees. We carry out many family-friendly projects, and the ‘Two Hours for the Family’ campaign is almost a tradition. We are convinced that these activities are bringing good results, including business results: high efficiency, resilience to professional burnout, lack of absenteeism due to mental health problems of our staff.”
The KGHM’s participation in the “Two Hours for the Family” campaign is a part of the company’s CSR Strategy. The company actively implements and supports all kinds of projects for the benefit of families and local communities. Employee development workshops and lectures are held throughout the year. The company’s initiatives include parent libraries launched at its branches.
