The Głogów Copper Smelter and the KGHM Hydrotechnical Plant received the Golden Laurel of Innovation
During the official ceremony of the Stanisław Staszic Contest organized in Warsaw by the Chief Technical Organization, two KGHM divisions received awards for the best innovative products.
For the twelfth time, the Federation of Scientific and Technical Associations - Chief Technical Organization (NOT) organized the Stanisław Staszic Contest for the best innovative products - the “Laurel of Innovation 2022/2023.”
The Golden Laurel of Innovation was awarded to KGHM’s Hydrotechnical Plant for the project “System for Record Keeping, Management, and Analysis of Geotechnical and Environmental Monitoring Data - SEZAM” and to the Głogów Copper Smelter for the project “Optimization of electricity consumption in the process of copper removal from the slurry slag in electric furnaces using advanced process data analysis.”
The purpose of the contest organized by NOT is to recognize and popularize the initiatives and successes of Polish innovators. The competition supports entities that implement innovative solutions in business and science, contribute to the development of the Polish economy, and increase its importance in the international arena.
The contest is intended for companies domiciled in Poland, as well as business and research entities whose innovative products may be of interest to the Polish economy.
