Personality of the Year – award for Marcin Chludziński

Marcin Chludziński, President of KGHM, was awarded the Krysztaly Polskiej Gospodarki (Crystals of the Polish Economy) 2021 contest in the category "Personality of the Year". The winner was announced at a Gala held on 23 May 2022 in Warsaw.

– This is an exceptional award. This award is for all those involved in the development of KGHM – emphasised Marcin Chludziński, President of KGHM. – An increase in production, revenue and a record-breaking operating result – this is what 2021 looked like for KGHM – he added.

The Crystals of the Polish Economy contest aims to honour the economic successes achieved by Polish entrepreneurs. The winners of the first edition of the plebiscite were selected from seven categories (e.g. Exporter, Responsible Business, Local Entrepreneur).  One of them is the "Personality of the Year" – an award for an outstanding public person from the world of business, media, politics or science for their contribution to the development and promotion of the Polish economy. This was the award which in 2021, in the decision of the jury of the contest, was given to the President of KGHM, Marcin Chludziński.

The award in that contest is a statuette made entirely of natural materials such as rock crystal, strawberry quartz and wood.
