During a gala in Warsaw, KGHM received the Wprost Innowatory award in the "Business" category. In justification, the award jury stated:
"KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. is an innovation leader in Poland and in the world. Its success is based on both rich tradition and innovation. The copper giant is developing its core business and looking for new business directions, which is key to maintaining the company's competitiveness in international markets.
In June this year, KGHM announced that it was proceeding with a feasibility study for the construction of a modern Salt Brewing Plant. This project will not only increase the added value of Polish Copper, but will also have a positive impact on the Polish economy, of which KGHM is one of the pillars. This is just one of many examples, because in accordance with the budget assumptions in 2023, the copper giant has planned and is consistently implementing the highest level of investment and capital expenditure in history.
