KGHM the most credible company in implementing plans and strategies

KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. received the "Most Credible in Implementing Plans and Strategies" award during the 2nd edition of the ISB News Gala "Most Credible in the Polish Economy". The award, which was received by the company's president Marcin Chludzinski, was granted for effective implementation of the company's strategy for 2019-2023.

"Consistency and stubbornness in action bring results! Thanks to our 4E strategy, experts and journalists appreciate the effective building of KGHM's position in Poland and worldwide," said Marcin Chludziński, President of the Board of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A.

In order to better adapt the company's future activities to the situation in global industry, in 2018, the Board of KGHM updated its strategy for 2019-2023. The new document takes into account the macroeconomic conditions and prevailing megatrends in the global economy. In it, the Board has focused on four main pillars, the so-called 4E: efficiency, elasticity, e-industry and ecology.

It is the effective implementation of ideas related to these four pillars that has gained recognition and an award in the category "Most Credible in Implementing Plans and Strategies".

The "Most Credible in the Polish Economy" Gala, organised by the news agency ISB News, took place on 6 February in Warsaw. For the second time, the website's editorial department has awarded distinctions to companies and institutions which conduct their business in a transparent and honest manner towards their contractors and partners, and respect the principles of corporate social responsibility.

During the first year of implementation of the new Strategy, the Board of KGHM started or completed dozens of projects:

#Efficiency - optimization of production processes, costs and financial results is carried out.

#Elasticity - the company adjusts its operations to changing trends, using assets and building relationships with foreign partners.

#E-industry - KGHM is bringing the company into the fourth industrial revolution through modern digital solutions in its mines and departments.

#Ecology - implementation of solutions beneficial to the environment: extension of the Żelazny Most waste tank, development plan for renewable energy sources.
