KGHM distinguished for “the development of parenting skills and the level of utilization of paternity leaves”

On March 23, 2023, during the 10th Conference for Business Leaders “Cohesive Leadership. Man and Technology” in Warsaw, organized by the Humanites Institute, KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. received a distinction for its “program for the development of parenting skills and an exceptionally high level of utilization of paternity leave.”

The distinction was awarded to Polska Miedź S.A. as an employer in the contest for the “Family&Human Wellbeing Humanites Award 2022.” This contest aims to identify good practices on the basis of a fair, multi-stage evaluation that also takes into account the opinions of a company’s employees.

The jury decided to recognize specific practices of selected companies, including KGHM, that deserve to be shared with other employers as good practices in the care for the well-being of employees.

KGHM has a number of family-friendly initiatives intended for its employees and the local community. The company provides funds for specialized parenting training for its employees, including one dedicated only to fathers, supports parents with occasional gifts on the occasion of the birth of a child, participates in the Two Hours for the Family campaign, runs the Program for the Prevention of Depression and Mental Health Prophylaxis and Promotion together with its partners, and promotes foster parenting as part of the Miedź Rodzinę campaign.
