KGHM awarded the "Amber of the Polish Economy 2021″

During the 7th National Economic Summit in Lublin, KGHM was awarded the "Amber of the Polish Economy 2021″ statuette. The competition jury recognised the copper giant for realisation of the Company's strategy and very good financial results.

On 4 October, during the National Economic Summit in Lublin, the "Amber of the Polish Economy 2021″ gala was held. KGHM, which was recognised for "effectively and consistently realising the company's objectives and achieving the best financial results in a decade".

"We managed to achieve very good results thanks to the strategy we adopted years ago", said Paweł Gruza, KGHM's Vice President for External Assets, accepting the award. "This past year was very difficult. It involved many sacrifices, hard moments, sometimes tears. Thanks to our quick response in the face of this terrible pandemic, we were able to keep it in check and maintain continuity of production", the vice president added.

The "Amber of the Polish Economy" award is granted to individuals, companies and institutions for special activities in the field of development and safety of the Polish economy at home and abroad.

The National Economic Summit in Lublin, organised by the European Business Centre, was held for the seventh time. The theme of this year's edition was "State - Economy - Security. Pillars of the Polish economy of the future".
