On October 9, during the National Economic Summit in Lublin, a ceremony was held to present the “Amber of the Polish Economy 2023” statuettes. CEO Tomasz Zdzikot was recognized for “consistently and effectively building the competitiveness of the copper industry giant on international markets by carrying out the highest investment and capital expenditures in the Company’s history, as well as putting KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. on an innovative development path.”
KGHM is the world’s leading producer of copper and silver. In the World Silver Survey 2023 ranking, it retained its first place on the list of “the largest silver mines in the world” and second place in the category of “the largest silver producers.” The company ranks eighth on the list of the world’s largest copper producers and is developing its business in line with the idea of sustainable development and international trends.
KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. is also a leader in innovation in Poland and the world. It bases its success on both a rich tradition and innovation. In line with the budget assumptions, this year the Company is planning and implementing the highest level of investment and capital expenditures ever, while maintaining a stable capital, financial, and operational position.
The Nation Economic Summit in Lublin is organized by the European Business Center. The theme of this year’s edition is “State - Economy - Security. A War in Europe. Poland facing new challenges.”
