This year’s KGHM’s volunteer campaign “Donut with Noble Filling” was highly successful: thanks to this charitable fundraising campaign, more than 143 thousand zlotys have been collected among the company’s employees. Thus, the record of the previous years was broken. Money from this fundraising campaign will help rehabilitate three children of employees of KGHM divisions. Each of the children will receive support in the amount of more than 47,500 zlotys.

“Once again, our employees have proven that they have big hearts. By joining the campaign, each of us has become a part of KGHM’s volunteering efforts. I would like to thank for the exceptional generosity, which set a record this year. As a result, together we can help on an even larger scale,” said Tomasz Zdzikot, the CEO of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A.

The sale of doughnuts on the Fat Thursday was held under the slogan “Give AT LEAST five zlotys for a copper kid” and brought a record result thanks to the exceptional generosity of KGHM’s employees. More than 143,000 zlotys was raised at KGHM Group's Divisions and Companies. During the 2021 campaign, we raised more than 77,000 zlotys together.

This year, the funds raised will support the Company’s employees’ children:

  • a daughter of an employee of the Rudna Mining Plant - the 4-year-old Ola needs multi-specialty medical care and rehabilitation;
  • a daughter of an employee of the Polkowice-Sieroszowice Mining Plant - the 22-year-old Kasia is in need of medication and rehabilitation necessary to maintain her mobility; and
  • a son of an employee of the Głogów Smelter - the 9-year-old Olek requires intensive rehabilitation in his fight against the loss of, among other things, the ability to walk.

More than 100 employees-volunteers from all divisions of the company were involved in organizing the “Doughnut with Noble Filling” event this year. This is one of the largest volunteer campaigns at KGHM.
