KGHM places particular value on promoting the country in the most important areas of life. The plebiscite recognises those who work for the image of Poland and contribute to making the country, its culture, successes and history famous. This year, due to the interruption caused by the pandemic, last year's competition will be decided at the same time.
"So far, interest in the competition and the prize has exceeded our expectations. Hence the next edition. Due to its importance to the global economy and its activities on the international stage, KGHM is widely regarded as "Poland's ambassador" in the world. The promotion of outstanding personalities and their achievements has two objectives: to thank the best and to encourage others to talk about our country. We often look for unobvious laureates, those who do not make the headlines on a daily basis, even though they are recognised experts," said Marcin Chludziński, President of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A.
Anyone can nominate candidates for the awards. Awards are given in four categories: Audience Award, Ambassador of Polish Science, Ambassador of Polish Sport and Ambassador of Polish Culture. In addition, the Special Award will be presented by President of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., Marcin Chludziński. It will be awarded to a person who has contributed to creating a good image of Polish entrepreneurs abroad.
Ten people in each category will be selected from the proposals submitted. The winner will be announced by the competition jury. The final gala is scheduled for mid-October. We invite you to take part in the plebiscite. You can nominate your candidate by filling in the form at ambasadorpolski.wp.pl.
