This is even more than last year, when we managed to collect more than 140 thousand zlotys for three ill children of KGHM’s employees. In 2021, more than 77 thousand zlotys was collected. This year, nearly 17 thousand doughnuts were distributed in just a few hours. KGHM employees once again proved that the idea of helping is very close to their hearts.
This year, the funds raised will support two children of employees at the Lubin and Polkowice-Sieroszowice Mining Facilities:
Emilia Szkolarz, who suffers from the VSD and ASD II heart defect, agenesis of the left kidney, underdevelopment of the thumb in the right hand, and cerebral palsy. The money from the collection will be used for rehabilitation and specialized consultations.
Hania Myśko, who suffers from the Crouzon syndrome, craniofacial dysostosis, and respiratory failure. The funds raised during the campaign will allow for rehabilitation, sessions with a speech therapist and a neuro-speech therapist, speech and movement therapy sessions, and lengthy staged surgical treatment and visits to specialists.
Every year, many KGHM employees get involved in the “Doughnut with Noble Filling” campaign. This year too, one of KGHM’s largest charity events was supported by more than 100 volunteers from all divisions.
