A sponsorship agreement between KGHM and Stal Gorzów Wielkopolski was signed today at the company’s headquarters in Lubin.
“Stal Gorzow is a club with traditions and a great potential; it is a 9-time team champion of Poland. KGHM is also a close-knit team with its heart in Lower Silesia, but we look at the Lubuskie Province with great affection. Our of our daughter companies is located there and we have business plans for mining concessions. Our involvement in the club from Gorzów Wielkopolski will strengthen our good neighborly relations,” said Tomasz Zdzikot, the CEO of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A.
From the beginning of the talks on KGHM’s involvement, the Lubuskie Province governor has stressed how socially important this cooperation would be. “The result of our meetings was the start of the negotiations, which were successful. On behalf of all the fans of the Gorzów club, I would like to thank the CEO of KGHM for the trust he has placed in the management of Stal Gorzów,” added Władysław Dajczak.
“I am glad that the marketing value of the Stal Gorzów brand has been recognized and KGHM is joining the numerous sponsors of the Gorzów team. I believe that our cooperation will be long-term and will have a positive impact on the development of Stal Gorzów,” said Waldemar Sadowski, the President of Stal Gorzów.
