KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. in solidarity with flood victims

The KGHM Polska Miedź Foundation will donate PLN 5 million to help those affected by the flood and to deal with its consequences.

‘In response to the enormity of the destruction and the human tragedy, we could not remain idle. In our company, collections of food and equipment are underway, aid in various forms is being donated both from KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. and companies in the KGHM Group, and our employees are actively participating in actions aimed to strengthen dikes and carry out other activities in areas at risk and affected by flooding. However, we concluded that we could do more, hence the idea to donate funds from the Foundation to help the regions affected by the flood’, said the CEO of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., Andrzej Szydło.

In addition, the Management Board of the KGHM Polska Miedź Foundation has decided that all funds paid into the Foundation’s account for statutory activities during the period from 20 September 2024 to 20 October 2024 will be allocated to the purpose following purpose: ‘aid to the victims of natural disasters’.

Funds for the Foundation's statutory purposes can be paid into the account number posted on the Foundation's website at www.fundacjakghm.pl under the Contact tab. We encourage everyone to make donations. All money will be donated to flood relief and recovery efforts.

KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. continues to help flood victims

Financial support is not the only form of assistance. Every day, the divisions of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. and companies within the KGHM Group donate essential equipment and goods to help the victims, and carry out voluntary work in the areas affected by the flood.

There is a special crisis management team at KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., which is reviewing operations in the context of the flood situation. The company is in constant contact with National Fire Service units, local Voluntary Fire Service Units, NGOs and emergency management centres, through which information on the need for ongoing assistance is collected.
