“KGHM Group companies have been supporting Polish sports for years. Just like the Polish national football team, we are a showcase for our country on the international stage. Sports and economic successes contribute to the improved position of our country. We are proud to play together and to be able to give our players the Staropolanka water - a natural, bottled treasure of Kłodzko Spas. This brand is undoubtedly one of the gems in the KGHM Group, which grows stronger every year. Last year alone, more than 76 million liters of the Staropolanka brand water, which meets the needs of all those who practice sports, were sold in the Polish Market,” said Tomasz Zdzikot, the CEO of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A.
“Football is the most popular sport in Poland. Both water and sports are associated with health and excellent fitness. I believe that marketing activities based on the sponsorship of the Polish national football team, will bring great benefits to Staropolanka and Kłodzko Spas. I am convinced that not only football players, but also all football fans will like our water,” stresses Łukasz Surażyński, the CEO of Uzdrowiska Kłodzkie SA, which produces Staropolanka water.
As part of the partnership, Staropolanka will use the title of “Official Water of the Polish National Team” from the upcoming friendly game against the German national team, to be played on June 16 at the PGE National Stadium in Warsaw. In this way, the brand wants to emphasize its sports character and make its image present among its customers, for whom sports activity and healthy eating are important.
“Staropolanka’s wide portfolio of waters allows it to provide the best mineral waters and meet the nutritional needs of all those who practice sports, not only amateurs, but also professionals. Therefore, together with the Polish Football Association, we are planning a number of projects that will promote a healthy lifestyle,” added Łukasz Czech, the Deputy CEO of Kłodzko Spas, the producer of Staropolanka .
The Staropolanka water with a special national team branding will be available throughout Poland, in retail chains and permanent points of sale. Staropolanka will accompany football players during games at home and abroad, and will also provide water supplies for all national football teams managed by the Polish Football Association (PZPN). The sponsorship agreement between Uzdrowiska Kłodzkie SA and the Polish Football Association was signed for the period of more than one year with the possibility of extension.
Staropolanka is a Polish brand of mineral and spring waters, produced in Polanica-Zdrój and Jeleniów near Kudowa-Zdrój, which is owned by Uzdrowiska Kłodzkie SA - PGU Group (a member of KGHM Group). The Staropolanka springs are a precious gift of the Kłodzko Region, which has been extracted in the heart of the Polanica resort since 1905.
The Staropolanka brand is a wide range of high-, medium-, and low-mineralized, carbonated, lightly carbonated, and non-carbonated waters with a diverse mineral composition. Kłodzko Spas is currently the only producer of mineral waters in Poland that offers natural products in as many as 4 different degrees of mineralization at levels of 310, 800, 1,200, and 2,030 mg/l.
Currently, Staropolanka has tremendous manufacturing capacity thanks to a modernized new production line. All investment and optimization activities, and their successive implementation allow to increase the production capacity compared to previous years. The production capacity last year was over 76 million liters of the Staropolanka brand water.
