KGHM and the local governments of the Copper Belt inaugurate the Depression Prevention Programme

Wednesday, 15 September, 2021
Free counselling, psychological support and expertise on problems related to depression - KGHM, together with the local governments of the Copper Belt, is launching a comprehensive assistance programme aimed at the Company's employees, their families and the region's residents.

Support will be offered through consultations, support group meetings, workshops, lectures, webinars and so-called supervision, i.e. training sessions for teachers and youth workers.

Activities are planned at the Mental Health Prevention Points in Legnica, Lubin, Polkowice and Głogów, as well as the pilot Consultation Point in Chojnów.

The Depression Prevention Programme prepared by KGHM in cooperation with local governments will be carried out from September 2021 to September 2022. A detailed schedule of events can be found at www.kghm.com/depresja.

The project is a continuation of activities launched in February. The Copper Belt Anti-Depression Week held at the time was expanded to include additional activities.

As part of the Depression Prevention Programme, Mental Health Month will be organised in October. Additional free psychological consultations, lectures, podcasts are then planned and counselling books will be distributed to people in the region.
