Forest management plans for the area around Głogów Copper Smelter are now complete

During the last meeting, representatives of KGHM and the local community presented the jointly prepared forest management plans for the area around the Głogów Copper Smelter. The plans will remain in force for the next 10 years.

A Local Cooperation Team, comprising employees of Głogów Copper Smelter and other divisions of KGHM, as well as people from outside the company representing local governments and local social organisations close to the subject of nature conservation, was working on the forest management project. Meetings were held periodically.

The new plans will be implemented over the next decade and the activities undertaken will contribute to the protection of forests and the preservation of their sustainability. They will also serve local residents. Ideas to set aside areas with an increased social function have been included in the document.
